ROUTINE NETWORK MAINTENANCE

To keep the network operating at peak efficiency, we perform routine network maintenace on some segment of the network every morning between the hours of 3:00-5:00 am.

Typical maintenace practices includes updating firmware on customer Internet antennas, Internet transmitters, and backhauls; rebooting routers and switches; upgrading firmware on routers and switches; and reconfiguring and calibrating transmitters. During this time, there will be brief interruptions in Internet service (<15 minutes).

ENGLISH HILLS RELAY MAINTENANCE WORK TODAY

Techs will be onsite at English Hills Relay this morning to trouble-shoot the network hardware. We replaced a router and switch last week because the transmitters would spontaneously reboot throughout the day. This weekend the problem resurfaced. There may be intermittent outages and we test various electrical components associated with the solar equipment.

No other towers or relays are affected.

PLANNED NETWORK OUTAGE TUESDAY 02-27-2024 NOON - 2:00 PM

We received word from Comcast that they will be performing maintenance on their Internet "pipeline" this Tuesday from noon to 2:00 pm, and that our circuit "may" be affected. Our Internet runs through their "pipeline" from Sacramento to Vacaville.

What that means is that there may be NO INTERNET during that maintenance window. Please make other arrangements (e.g. cellular hot spot) if Internet is required during the downtime.

ALL towers and relays may be affected.

BERRYESSA PEAK SPEED ISSUE

Techs are on their way to Mt. Vaca and Berryessa Peak tower to realign the primary backhaul. The backhaul is the main Internet feed between Solano and Yolo Counties. The backhaul blew out of alignment at 1:00 am this morning. Yolo County customers are currently on the secondary (backup) backhaul which cannot pass as much traffic, so things will move a bit slower until the primary backhaul is realigned.

No other towers or relays are affected.
